Applying the best learning and teaching practice during your shift to Canvas may get you wondering “Where do I even start?” The easiest way to learn is often from someone who’s already gone through the process, so we have compiled six resource pages showing examples of current good practices that you can easily implement within your own Canvas site.

After spending some time working with our very own UTS academics, we’ve learnt a lot by being able to see and understand how they deliver their approach to learning and teaching in their move to Canvas. From that, we’ve collated some of the best examples from their subject sites across different faculties. From subject site structuring to student relationship building, we’ve taken pockets of golden knowledge from within the university’s teaching staff that have proven to be successfully implemented within UTS subjects.

Head to our new collection ‘Examples of good practice in Canvas sites‘, where you can find some great examples of how to:

  • Structure your Canvas subject site effectively
  • Encourage engagement with your Canvas subject’s learning materials
  • Adapt your learning materials for online delivery via Canvas
  • Design effective assessments in Canvas
  • Use Canvas to facilitate social learning
  • Build relationships with and between students in Canvas

Further to this, we have newly curated collections on planning and building your Canvas sites, and ensuring you have a clear and accessible site. Jump onto the Resources page and start exploring!
