If you require private channels to be set up, based upon tutorial enrollments or any other configuration, you can submit a Service Connect ticket to the LX Lab and we will assist to set those set up and add students in to the relevant channels.
Expected time of delivery for ticket responses can vary between 2-3 days. Please factor this into your timeline.
In order for us to assist you we will ask you to provide a CSV (Comma Separated Value) file, essentially a spreadsheet document that you can format and save in Excel.
User – Only email addresses for both students or teachers you wish to add to the site. (It’s ok to add them together, no particular order required)
Role – Specify what role for the row user. For Students their role needs to be listed as member.
For teachers it’s ideal to provide them with Owner role.
Example: Row 2 – Andrew will be added as an Owner to Teams site.
Channel – Specify the user to be added into which private channel. For Students specify which channel they will need access to in ‘Column C’
If user requires Owner access to a private channel, please ensure they are listed as displayed in screenshot below in ‘Row 2’
Example: Row 2 – Andrew will be added as an Owner to Teams site, with owner access to Tutorial 1
If user requires access to multiple private channels, please follow ‘Owner access to Multiple Channels’ instructions below.
If a user requires access to multiple private channels within a Teams site. In the example below Andrew will be added as an Owner to Teams site, with owner access to Tutorial 1, Tutorial 2, and Tutorial 3.
Log your request through the LX Lab. After your request has been processed (delivery time 2-3 days) you will receive a confirmation. Keep the LX Lab member in the MS Teams site ongoing, as you may require future updates to your private channels.
