The future and disruption of education with Matthew Brimer
Since the concept of education was first formalised over 200 years ago, we’ve been chained to our desks in an environment of structured, formulaic and repetitive learning. With the ‘future of work’ creeping up on us, it’s time to shake things up to see us through the next 200 years and beyond.
This means evolving the default K-12 curriculum alongside a philosophy of lifelong learning, and complementing knowledge-based skills with evergreen, future-ready, entrepreneurial qualities like creative thinking, problem solving and emotional and cultural intelligence.
Ready to head to the top of the class? Then join our visiting entrepreneur, Matthew Brimer, Co-Founder of General Assembly, who will reveal how disrupting education has gone hand in hand with building a community of startups and entrepreneurs, and balancing global partnerships with social impact.
Matthew will then join our influencer panel, who’ll debate what education will look like in the future thanks to emerging technologies and methodologies – and how that is taking shape right now.
