Level

Intermediate.  Prior knowledge of the Rich Content Editor is recommended.

Prior attendance at the Making Tables, Matrices and Arrays in Canvas Accessible workshop is recommended for users working with Graphs and/or Charts.

Who should attend this session?

Staff who need to add graphs, charts and diagrams to their Canvas site are welcome to attend.

What will you learn?

Not everyone reads graphs, charts and diagrams in the same way, which is why it’s important to make sure that any added to Canvas are accessible.

In this 30 minute session session, we will:

  • Discuss how screen reader/magnification software is used to access graphs, charts and diagrams.
  • Discuss how colour blindness can impact reading incorrectly designed graphs, charts and diagrams.
  • Explain how graphs, charts and diagrams can be made accessible in Canvas.
