  • Zoom – further details provided upon registration

Who should attend this session?

Subject coordinators preparing their subject for Spring 2020 and looking for a structured way to plan for their teaching in either UTSOnline or Canvas.

Professional staff are welcome to attend this session.

What will you learn?

Your subject site in UTSOnline or Canvas is a great place to provide information about your subject and communicate the administrative requirements of your subject.  However, there is so much more you can do with your subject site to support and enhance your students’ experience of your subject, using both asynchronous and synchronous learning.

In this session, you will:

  • explore what makes a subject site effective.
  • examine some ways of applying Gilly Salmon’s 5 stage model for your subject in UTSOnline or Canvas to enhance the student experience.
  • plan the structure for your subject site to implement your teaching effectively in UTSOnline or Canvas.

As there will be collaborative activities in this session, please log onto this session on your computer (a mobile device is not recommended).
