    1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
  • Zoom – further details provided upon registration

Level

Intermediate.  Prior knowledge of and experience with Kaltura is recommended.

Who should attend this session?

Staff who wish to create and/or use reusable educational videos within UTS.

What will you learn?

Has someone said to you, “I love the video that you created for your students!  May I use it in my subject?”  Alternately, have you said that to a colleague?

If the answer has been “Sure, happy for you to use it!”, how have you made the video available and how have you made sure you have cited the owner of the video appropriately?

Find out how you can use Kaltura’s Shared Repository to do exactly that.  The Shared Repository is a bank of videos in Kaltura that are visible to everyone at UTS.

In this 1 hour session, we will guide you through how to:

  • prepare videos for reusability.
  • publish to the Shared Repository so that others can use your video in their teaching.
  • use the Shared Repository in Kaltura to search for videos created by others that you can use in your teaching.
  • name, describe  and cite your video to increase the searchability of your video to others
