Have you heard? Here at UTS we have recently acquired an enterprise licence for the interactive polling tool Mentimeter! We are excited to introduce this tool to you in our Tooltime session.
Mentimeter is UTS’s official polling tool, here to make your classrooms, meetings and events more productive, engaging and exciting. With Mentimeter, you can create interactive online activities using a wide variety of question types, such as live polls, quizzes, word clouds and Q&As – all from the comfort of your browser window, no downloads necessary.
Join this 30-minute session to learn about the basics of using Mentimeter in your class or meeting. In this Tooltime we will cover:
- How to access the tool
- Question types (multiple choice, word cloud, short answer and more)
- Downloading results
- Using the tool with other applications (Canvas, Zoom, Teams)
You can read our blog post to find out more about Mentimeter.

What is Tooltime
Tooltime is a series of short informal showcases, where staff from all areas are given the opportunity to share a gadget, tool, app, workflow or technique. The technologies showcased can range from anything that could engage learners, streamline teaching or are simply time savers. Sessions do not have to formally address teaching and learning concepts in-depth, but rather recognise the technology’s potential capabilities in this area. Each session in the series will run for 30 minutes and are intended for either academic or professional staff.
Disclaimer:
The Tooltime hosts make no claims on the utility of tools and do not necessarily provide support for the gadgets, widgets or workflows presented.
Can’t make this session, we’ve got more!
