What is MIDAS?

MIDAS (More Innovative Design Able Students) is a multifaceted change movement to transform engineering and information technology education at UTS. At its heart, MIDAS has students as partners and staff well-being, and, together with industry friends, co-designs curriculum and pedagogy for an outstanding student experience.

Welcome to the MIDAS Blog

This is a space where we celebrate and share FEIT success in Learning and Teaching. We aim to do this by providing relevant and accurate information about UTS and FEIT initiatives, and a voice to those who wish to share their learning and teaching achievements.

MIDAS is collaborative and courageous. Its projects and activities are designed to add value to experiences of all in FEIT. Details of the projects within MIDAS are described here.

Students as Partners

MIDAS knows that students are creative and resourceful and sees them as partners in curriculum design and decision making. They are already part of several on-going collaborations including Summer Studio design and re-purposing student space on Level 5 in Building 11.
