Volume of distribution:

To understand how the drug distributes in our body, there is an important factor that comes into play. This factor measures the intake of drugs to the drug concentration in the plasma fluid. It is termed as volume of distribution (Vd). It depends on the  various factors like height, weight of a person. Vd appears less in the drugs which are highly soluble. On the other hand, drugs like lipophilic meaning distributing to tissue have more Vd.jm-2015-002019_0005

Computing volume of distribution:

Volume of distribution (Vd) =  (Amount of drug present in the body) / ( Concentration of plasma in the body)

Generally, the drugs which are less soluble, gets circulated in the extracellular component of the body and hence, shows less Vd. Those drugs have higher Vd which are easily absorbed by the organs and are typically fat soluble.

  • Betting in Namibia is the best because it has the highest odds possible, especially on this online sports betting site – jsb sports betting , I place my bets only on this site and this is the reason why it is very profitable to bet on sports here because of triple or even quadruple odds, so I invite you to try it too!

  • Figure one shows a diagram of a cell and is called drug distribution in the human body! Did anyone who commented really read this? There is not really much here to comment on massive diagrams a little bit of text.

  • Hey Rojina, really good start to your blog. Your layout and diagrams really help catch attention and interest. I would recommend explaining the pharmacology jargon in your pie chart – maybe in the footnotes. I agree with Camilla on including a catchy introduction or an interesting title! Best of luck!

  • The layout of your blog makes it easy to read and understand, although the last line of the first paragraph was worded in a difficult way to read. The images are great but you don’t talk about them or explain what they mean in your text.
I think adding examples would be a great way to expand on your concept and referencing needs to be added. Overall its a good start to the blog.

  • So far the information is all very well written and understood. Love the diagrams included-maybe make reference to them in the text. I would also include some sort of introduction or catchy start, to follow the blog format! Keeping up the good work !

  • So far there is some good content! I like your use of diagrams and colour to keep the reader engaged and help them understand the content. You could possibly try and make your writing a little more conversational to fit in with the ‘blog’ writing style. Remember to submit it as a PDF when you have completed your final document! Keep up the colour and diagrams! 🙂

  • Great layout and diagrams that explain what is difficult to word. I believe if you used an example to describe such effect it would also make it more interesting! Great work though
