  • I agree with Shashini. More use of layout and pictures will make the page look attractive. All the information is there though.

  • Hi Mehzabin, the information and conversational tone of your blog is great, there is an obvious colour contrast between the text and the background, i suggest that maybe use more images around texts rather than a big colourful one behind it.

  • As others have said, the background of this blog makes it harder to read the text (think about colour contrast). The language used is very appropriate for a blog post and it is both engaging and informative. The layout of the text could be presented in a more interesting manner if combined with pictures and placed in columns or boxes – reading like an informative pamphlet rather than a book.

  • I like where you were going with the background, however it is often difficult to make out the text. I really like the style of writing, informative yet still easy to understand. Id love to see a sentence or two on how the toxin is neutralised by the anti-venom. Great work though!

  • Great information, definitely directed at the general public which is important. I would suggest maybe using some diagrams to convey ideas as well. The background made it hard to read at times, however.

  • Great job on making the blog flow in a conversational style, very engaging. However, I suggest you change the background as it makes the layout too busy and hard to read in certain areas. Also, I think more images rather than spiders would help you further explain some points. I love the dot points, simple and easy to read. I do recommend you to make the paragraphs slightly shorter because you can sometimes lose some readers when it looks like a lot of writing. Great research but I think you can do a little more to further expand and to back up your blog, just make sure to do your references before you submit the final. Changes in colour and font, when the background is not as busy, would definitely make it more engaging as well.

  • Hi Mehzabin. I love your conversational style throughout your blog and I think you’ve done a great job at the research. Some suggestions to you would be to change the background image to either a more transparent image, one of lighter colour or a solid colour. This is because the image chosen makes the information a little hard to read. Other than that I think you’ve done a great job (maybe more info on the anti-venom).

  • I did find your blog very informative but it was a little difficult to read due to the background on the pages. Maybe have a neutral or light pastel shade which doesn’t clash with the pictures? Also, you will need to include a reference list- don’t forget to write references in Harvard style! Good luck.

  • Good conversational type format, although you may want to change your background or font for reader’s to better view your blog. Adding some figures should really help convey your message and don’t forget to add references!

  • The conversational tone makes the information really easy to follow. However, the background and the text are hard to read in some areas. More use of images would help explain some concepts instead of pictures of spiders. Other than that the information is great and you know the topic well. Keep it up and good luck.

  • Blog is easy to read because of the great use of conversational style. Additional diagrams would also add to the visual appeal and help explain some of the info more. One point to consider is to maybe change the background image as it is quite hard to read the text in some areas.

  • Great effort. The blog is very visually engaging however some part are difficult to read due to the black text over the background image. Content wise it is very informative and easy to follow. The use of more diagrams may assist in communication of the more difficult concepts discussed.

  • The text featured is appropriately broken up and easier to follow however the picture background makes focusing and reading much harder. Implementing small clear backgrounds to the text specifically can drastically improve the quality of the blog. Otherwise the blog is well made.

  • The blog is very well written in a way that is understandable and easy to read. However, some diagrams can be added to further explain these passages. Also, I suggest you manipulate the text in a way so that it is easy to read with the background you are using as it is a little distracting. Besides that, the blog is looking great!

  • The conversational style is really engaging and the information is easy to read. Use of in-text citations and references list would be much better if included. Although the background is distracting as the font colour also makes it hard to focus and read, the overall concept and information is really easy to understand. The use of other images or visual elements may improve how you relay your information also. A really good job nonetheless.

  • The font colour should be changed on the background, or maybe even use a colour background instead of a picture background so that is easier to read. The information conveyed in the blog however is good and succinct, learnt a lot

  • Hi Mehzabin,
You have a great and engaging writing style and good information. Some things to consider:
    1) when you put your references in for the final i hope to see some journal articles/textbooks as sources used. As well as numbered in-text citations.
    2) you have a nice background image but it is hard to read with the black text
    3) consider adding diagrams/images of things such as the toxin produced or the nerve junction so people can see what you are referring to (remember to cite any images used. Or… you could just make your own!)

    overall very good job

  • The black text on the image background is difficult to read. Love the tone of the text, and the idea of a running series. Great use of personal language throughout. The blog is very engaging, but still feels really informative. Great job!
