  • I really like the use of images and the overall colour scheme you’ve used. However, I think you could explain the scientific jargon a little better but aside from that all the information is there and you’ve done a fantastic job!

  • *break down the scientific jargon

  • Great Blog! However, I agree with the others, you could break down the scientific jargon a bit and make it more into an informative blog for every day readers, not just scientists. Using a story/analogies would be a great way to break down the analogies.

  • Good blog! Maybe have some extra thought on the way you name your subtitles, to me they seem a bit long. Furthermore, the piece on receptors in general is quite long compared to the whole length of the blog, definitely taking into account that the blog is only on GPCRs. Also, the second paragraph of GPCRs contains a type (GPCDs instead of GPCRs). And, maybe also add an overview picture on the interactions between GPCRs, alfa-beta-gamma units and their downstream signal proteins. For the part GPCRs, physiology and drugs, I would focus on one sense and its drugs, now it seems like you want to convey a lot of information, but due to the lack of space it is a little chaotic. For the rest, explanations were very clear!

  • The blog is structured very well, so it is very easy to follow along with the information. However, the technical language may need to be slightly simplified for the layperson as it can become quite conceptually complex. The title could also be better if you included some sort of pun/remark that links back to the blog. Very well written and informative.

  • Very good, clear, well written blog from a scientific point of view but it could be even better if it was simplified for the lay reader. You’ve done all the hard work so now write it like your family could understand. It could use a more imaginative title. When you include diagrams its good to really refer to them in the text like they are important.

  • Hi Betina, the use of your diagrams really drive the point across to the readers as well as giving them a way to envision the process. I really like the selective use of bolding the text as it amplifies your message. Overall it is a very eye pleasing and informative blog. Great job!

  • The layout is very clear and I like the use of diagrams. I think you could make the title more intriguing by creating a question, pun or fun story so it is more attention grabbing. Also, there is a lot of text and this could possibly be cut down so the paragraphs can be smaller and more spread? for example is talking abut the other receptor types necessary?? Also more analogies could be used so laypeople can relate more. I really like your explanation it seems very clear and easy to understand.
