Love the title and layout, some great info in there. I’d suggest trying to lessen the amount of scientific jargon though, as it is supposed to be directed at a general audience. Otherwise it looks great!
Hey Luke. I think you’re blog is very well written and you’re design is really artistically creative. Personally I found it hard to read as the words were quite small and there was a lot of it. Maybe try to improve this by using less of the colour black as it exhausts the eye. I love that you’ve explained all the terminology and the actual information is beautifully put together.
Eye catching layout with a good use of diagrams. However, try think more about the audience you are writing for, don’t get too technical to bore your reader.
Great information, your sentence structure is really amazing. The digram and the layout is easy to follow and understand. Clever use of colour and images which make the blog very attractive. However, there is some terminology which may be hard for the target audience to understand. My advice take it out and replace it with easy conversational term or define it for the audience. Good luck
Very good information introducing the topic which makes it easy for the audience to understand. The flow and layout is also very easy to follow however the last section explaining neurotoxins is too scientifically worded. References to the diagrams would also help in explaining the concepts. Otherwise layout is good, keep up the good work.
The layout has lots of potential if done well (i know this is a draft) as there is already great use of colours/theme and the overall layout is very much so like a real blog. Information is also good and easy to read however would suggest maybe breaking up the info as it seems to be congested a little.

Omg so didn’t realise there were multiple snake topics, my baaad. You covered topic 21 very well and thoroughly while fully addressing the points. Sorry about my prior useless comment. (I still really like the formatting.)
Your layout is very unique with use of high contrast to catch the eye. You are very focused on the venom aspect of snakes but don’t really mention snakebite impact globally, maybe go onto WHO’s website to get some stats etc to compare and show the reader their mortality/morbidity impact. Also focus more on classifying snakes themselves eg. order>suborder>family.
Hi Luke,
A good draft, some things to consider:
1) Be consistent with terminology – use the words toxin and venom rather than poison. also don’t get too technical with the scientific jargon , the language should be easily understood without much background knowledge.
2) the layout at the moment does not flow as well as it could, this should be rearranged and images included.
3) Try minimize the amount of text and wordiness and keep explanations simple and direct. The pre- and post- synaptic neurotoxins section needs further work. consider making a clearer diagram for this too.
4) When your references go in before submitting your final, make sure to use good sources like journal articles and textbooks rather than websites. also include in-text numbering to refer to the sources – this also applies to images used.
A really good use of colour to accompany the engaging title. Conversational style language draws attention and is easy to follow through the blog. Side layout is interesting and creates a pathway to easily follow the flow of the information. Just minor negative comment about the wordiness, maybe some white spaces or images to break up the text but perhaps that will compromise the amount of information given. Overall a really good job.
Fantastic layout. Great flow of information, and clever use of colour – particularly black and white to draw your attention to the main body of text. Great use of images, the snake at the top of the page and the drawn diagram do distinguish different venom types. Good use of personal language, and a nice balance between being informative and detailed, while still being easy to understand. Looks like it’ll be top quality when its finished, well done.
