  • Very easy to read – both the font choice and language were perfect. Layout was very pleasing but could have used a few pictures to grab attention and make the post more entertaining. Very informative and jargon is well explained. Good job!

  • Hey Sara. First impressions for me was that I loved the layout and it was so easy on the eye to read. The words weren’t crammed at all and the contrast between the green and black work so well. The information is really easy to understand and is obvious that you’ve done your research. Good job!

It is likely that someone with a non-science background will be able to understand and learn from this article.

  • This blog is really informative and understandable. You simplified all the scientific concepts and made it easy to understand. Make sure you reference your work. Well done

  • Hi Sara,

Your blog is simple in design that makes it really easy to understand and follow. Maybe for the type of toxins you can do another flowchart or diagram instead of listing them down in a paragraph. I feel like in the 2nd page, some of the language and terms used can be made less formal to be understood by the general public. Other then that your blog seems very informative and interesting! Good luck

  • Great blog, the information is really easy to understand and it hasa really good flow to it. I agree that you should add in some easy to follow diagrams and other images to make it a bit more eye catching. Also dont forget to add in your references 🙂

  • The information in the blog is well written and easy to follow. As noted above, you should change the format appearance of the blog as it is quite simple and boring. Like Carly said, some easy to follow diagrams in relation to your text (ie. first aid and antivenoms part) would make this more exciting to read.

Also don’t forget to mention to call 000 in your first aid part, a very important point!!!

  • You definitely addressed topic 22. I like your step by step instruction on first aid. With your discussion on antivenom maybe state limits like the time frame when they become less effective eg. if the patient starts to shows symptoms of paralysis will the antivenom be as effective?

  • Hi Sara,
Good, solid information that isn’t too complicated. Some suggestions:
    1) You have the info, so now you can work on making it visually more exciting. Not just with nice pictures, but things like diagrams to tie in with what you are saying in the text.
    2) when mentioning the pressure-immobilization technique you should add a sentence on why the whole limb is bandaged and not just the wound site. A small detail that will add to the information and show good understanding.
    3) when references get added in for the final i hope to see some reliable journal articles/textbooks in there. also remember to do the in-text citations via numbering.
    4) the antivenom section could be explained a bit more clearly and in less words, try not to repeat yourself.

  • The information is simplistic and easy to follow. The overall Scheme is simple and works to segment the text. To improve i would recommend some formatting changes, e.g. the 1st image of the snake is skewed and provides somewhat of an eyesore. As well as defined spacing between differing aspects of the blog.

  • Info looks good, and the overall layout looks nice but maybe use a more ‘attention-grabbing’ initial phrase at the beginning. Also you could possibly use dot points in the sections associated with the steps for first aid to make it a bit more clear. But yeah besides that, the info looks quite well displayed.
