Volume of Distribution

  • Hi Kaitlin! You have done very well to present your information in an engaging way by using conversational language and examples (even using your own hand drawn pictures) to help get your point across. Make sure to stick within the 2 page limit so try to simplify as much as you can. As your topic is very formula and calculation based with numbers, I suggest to improve the look of your blog to keep the reader engaged and not bored – use more colour and banners to help break up the text and information, make it have more of a blog layout rather than a word document.

  • I though that your blog worked well despite it being very formula and calculation based. Its good to see people taking these in different directions. You could use the fish analogy to describe free and protein bound. In reality when they take blood levels of a drug they measure total ie free and protein bound. Some good tips from other students as well.

  • Hi Kaitlin, like your blog! its really informative and the use of the bathtub and fish analogies make it easier to understand as its a complex concept! The hand drawn diagrams are really good too. Maybe to cut it down you could use superscript number footnotes rather than having the (author, date) within the text! Great work though!

  • Looks quite professional. Less is more, especially considering that it is important to stick within the 2 page limit. ‘The bathtub analogy’ is very long and takes up a lot of space, so perhaps that could be made more concise, clear and direct. The use of a lot of different numbers can be a bit off putting to some readers. Good work

  • Hi Kaitlin,

The use of hand drawn diagrams and equations was very effecting in conveying the topic of volume of distribution. Furthermore I was particularly drawn in by you opening sentance! However you may need to look into simplifying your text as it is a bit long.
