Are you keen to get your classes off to a great start? Are you interested in building student connection and belonging?

The first classes of a subject are key to building student engagement, helping students feel connected and ultimately developing a sense of belonging. In this session we’ll explore a range of ideas and strategies you can use in your own classes– drawn from staff and students from across UTS. We’ll give you the chance to discuss what works best for you in your particular discipline and subject  – and you’ll leave with some practical ideas for how to get your class off to a great start.

Note that while this session draws from outcomes from a FYE grant where the focus is on those running first year classes, the ideas also translate well to other years so all are welcome!
