Learning and Teaching Town Hall

You are invited to the first Learning and Teaching Town Hall for 2018: Towards one LMS

As you know a decision was made in 2016 to select Canvas as the Learning Management System (LMS) for new postgraduate courses. That decision was made after an extensive evaluation of all viable LMS systems available at that time and according to the UTS procurement process. Since that time UTS has continued to support both Blackboard (UTSOnline) for UG and some PG and Canvas for all new PG and some new UG. This seems an opportune time to select one LMS for UTS.

Please come and participate in the discussion about the future LMS for UTS’ learning and teaching systems.

If you have not yet experienced ‘Learning with Canvas’, you can look at postgraduate coursework ‘tasters’ that we have made public via UTS Open (please use your UTS email to sign up).

In addition, we will be running ‘Teaching with Canvas’ sessions in the LX.lab to look ‘under the hood’ of the new system. These events demonstrate features of Canvas and will make available a sandpit site to attendees, so that you may try out your ideas prior to the Town Hall. Please register for one of the following sessions in the LX.lab:
