Professor Wanning Sun from the School of Communication is the Chief investigator of an ARC Discovery Project. This project aims to study the production and use of digital/social media by mainland Chinese migrants in Australia.

Wanning will talk about the use of WeChat, a globally available social media platform that has been most widely adopted by Chinese users—both within and outside China. WeChat is a great platform to reach out and engage with students, academics and international partners. This workshop is an introduction to some key aspects of WeChat and will go through the basic knowledge functions, features and uses of WeChat. We will share some experiences and tips on how to make productive use of this platform in teaching, research and international outreach.

Please join us in this workshop to build your knowledge and expertise on WeChat.
