Access the ‘Reports’ section in H5P for data on how your students have fared with interactive content.
When students complete scored H5P activities in Canvas, their answers will be stored and made available via ‘Reports’.
Reports can be used to find out the following information:
- for each content item, you can see the list of all students who have answered a question.
- for each student, you can see their first, last and best attempt score.
- for each attempt, you can see a student’s start time, end time, duration of the attempt, and total score.
- for each question, you can see a student’s question score and all of the answers they have given.
Reports can be accessed in two ways:
- After launching the H5P builder in Canvas’s rich content editor (RCE), click on the activity for which you want to explore student responses.
At the top of the next screen, you’ll see the ‘Reports’ tab.
Go to the Canvas page which contains the H5P content item and click on the ‘Reports’ button.
Reports are only available after at least one student has attempted the activity.
By default, reports will include all student response data. If you would like to view just the one cohort of students (e.g. Spring 2020) you can ‘Filter the list’ by selecting the course from the drop-down menu.
