Follow these steps to edit and use a Mentimeter presentation with multiple users by adding collaborators to your slide deck.
Open the Mentimeter presentation that you want to share and click on the ‘Share’ button in the top right-hand corner of your screen.
A new ‘Share’ window will pop up, where you will see an ‘Invite collaborators’ tab. Enter the UTS email address of the user you want to collaborate with into the ‘Email addresses’ field. You can add multiple collaborators at the same time by pressing Enter or Space and adding another email address, then click the ‘Invite users’ button.
If an email address was correct, you will see all current collaborators below yourself at the bottom of the window. If there was a typo in an email address or the email address is not registered within the UTS Mentimeter license, you will see an error message.
Invited collaborators will receive an invitation email or can log into their Mentimeter account and find the shared presentation on their ‘My presentations’ page.
Only the owner of a presentation can add collaborators. Owners of a presentation can remove any collaborator by clicking the X next to a name while a collaborator can only remove themselves from a presentation.
You can now work together on the same version of a presentation in real time. If you are editing the presentation at the same time, you can see the initials of users on the slide thumbnails they have open as well as on top of the screen next to the ‘Share’ button. A ‘Play’ symbol signifies that a user is currently presenting the slides.
Changes are made in real-time and there is no undo function or an activity log to see who has made changes, or to revert to a previous version. If changes are made during a presentation, the slides will change while being presented. This includes deletions – if an owner deletes a presentation, it cannot be accessed by anyone.
