Build a quiz in Kaltura

Navigate to ‘My Media’, select the video you wish to create a quiz for and click on the pencil edit button on the far right:

Click on ‘Launch Editor’ to the right of your video – once in ‘Launch Editor’ select ‘Quiz‘ on the top left screen.

Within the Quiz editor screen you will be given the following options under ‘Details‘, which can be set as active or inactive by ticking the boxes:

• ‘Show Welcome Page‘ – you have the option to display and customise a welcome message at the beginning of the quiz.
• ‘Allow Download of Questions List‘ – allows students to download a doc of all questions that will be shown within the quiz.
• ‘Instructions‘ – allows you to tells students exactly what to do, eg. “All questions must be answered. The quiz will be submitted at the end.”

‘Scores’ allows students to be tested in the following three ways:

• ‘Do Not Show Scores‘ – selecting this option will mean after a student has completed the quiz they will receive a thank you message and their mark will not be shown.
• ‘Show Scores‘ – students will be able to view their mark at the end of the quiz.
• ‘Include Answers‘ – this will allow students to review their answers by viewing the correct and incorrect answers.

‘Experience’ allows you to change these settings as per your own preferences: 

• ‘Allows Answers Change’ – this will give students the ability to review their answers before submitting the completion of the quiz.
• ‘Allow Skip’ and ‘Do not Allow Skip’ – this affects all questions within the quiz. This will provide the option on whether students are required to answer a question before proceeding to the next one.

When ready to begin, simply ‘Add a Question’ and design your quiz as preferred by selecting from the options:
