Teams has a wide range of apps that can be embedded into groups or channels as ‘Tabs’. Tabs can be useful for adding useful apps such as Planner, Office 356 apps (Word, Excel etc.) or other apps that may be useful to enhance the collaborative experience.
To add tabs in a channel:
- Navigate to the channel where you would like to add an app
- Click on the + sign at the top of the screen to add a new app. Browse through the apps and select the one you would like to add
- Name the tab – for instance, if you want to pin Planner on the channel, you could name it ‘Grouptasks’
- Click ‘Save’ and then tick ‘Post to the channel about this app’ to alert group members to the addition of the app
