This resource guides you through the process of updating Zoom, for Mac and PC.
It’s important to update Zoom regularly, ideally every fortnight. This is because there may be new features available that can enhance learning and teaching, security updates which can prevent problems, and bugs which are causing problems can be fixed.
Open the Zoom app on your computer. You can find it by checking your desktop where all your other applications are, or through the search function. Log in if you are prompted to. The UTS domain is ‘utsmeet.zoom.us’ This box will appear:
Click on your profile picture in the top right-hand corner. Then click Check for Updates.
Another pop-up box will appear as Zoom checks for updates. A list of available updates will appear once Zoom is finished checking. From here, click Update and the updates will be installed. This shouldn’t take too long, though it depends on how many updates need to be installed – the more updates, the longer the installation time. Zoom will alert you when the updates are completed.
