Join the Library in an exploration of our brand new digital literacy kits! This roundtable session will have hands-on activities with a selection of the kits, combined with a discussion of how they have been incorporated into teaching practices.
Items covered in the session include:
Little Bits | Snap together magnetic modules that create circuits. Use them to run experiments, build robots, IoT devices and synthesise music. |
Sphero | Robotic ball controlled by an app on your phone. Provides opportunities to learn about programming. |
Makey makey | Invention kit that connects computer programs with everyday objects (including yourself!). Can be used with the programming language scratch. |
VR Box headsets | Use with a smartphone to review 360 degree videos and images, as well as play virtual reality games. |
