Who should attend this session?

Mac users (teaching or professional staff) interested in learning foundational video editing skills using iMovie

What will you learn?

iMovie is free video editing program for Mac users (look for it in your applications folder).  It’s a great program to help you learn foundational video editing skills.

In this 45 minute session, we will show how the video below was edited with iMovie.  We will show you how to:

  • remove unwanted sections (trim)
  • split sections (cut)
  • join sections from different videos or different parts of the same video (transitions)
  • add a text layer (titles)
  • insert footage that adds more information (cutaways), while retaining the audio.

We will also share tips on how to manage and export your video footage.
