Intermediate. Prior experience and knowledge with Zoom to facilitate synchronous classes is required.  You are already familiar with the basic functions of Zoom.  

Who should attend this workshop?

This workshop is open to UTS teaching staff on casual contracts who are teaching in Spring 2022. 

Please register your interest in this workshop by 9am, Monday 1 August.

What will you learn?

You have downloaded the Zoom desktop app and know how to schedule a Zoom meeting.  You know how to share your screen and may have already used the annotation feature. But you’re not quite sure about the breakout rooms in Zoom.   

In this session, you will learn how to:  

  • set up breakout rooms (random allocation, manual allocation, pre-assigned) 
  • structure and manage your breakout rooms.

This workshop is open to UTS teaching staff on casual contracts who are teaching in Spring 2022.  You are invited to participate in up to TWO of these online professional development workshops and be paid for your time*.

Please note that there are caps on some workshops. 

 *Paid places are at the Other Academic Activity non-PhD rate of $50.46ph. This is a professional learning opportunity, not a teaching activity.

Please note: Staff who are in full-time or fractional academic employment at UTS in addition to their casual academic contract are not eligible for payment.
