Join us for our next Professional Education and Practice Network (PEPN) event. Academics Kellie Ellis and Greta Conlan will lead discussions on building meaningful partnerships in Sport and Exercise Science education.

What we will explore

  • Insights into the Sport and Exercise Science approach to structuring and maintaining partnerships, covering student placements and projects.
  • Addressing compliance and accreditation requirements for accredited degree programs.
  • Exploring the social impact of partnership projects and expansion into new areas.
  • Strategies for sourcing, engaging, and supporting partnerships, including Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) initiatives.

About the speakers

Kellie Ellis

Kellie is an Associate Lecturer in the School of Sport, Exercise, and Rehabilitation. She has a Bachelor of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education and is an ESSA Accredited Exercise Scientist. Kellie has a vast history in varied roles across both Education and Sport with government, private, independent and state / national sporting organisations. She has also had experience successfully running her own Sport and Fitness business. Kellie is currently undertaking research exploring the career pathways of Indigenous People employed in non-playing sport roles.

Greta Conlon

Greta is an Associate Lecturer in the School of Sport, Exercise, and Rehabilitation. She completed a Bachelor in Exercise & Sport Science, followed by a Masters in High Performance Sport. She is an ESSA-accredited Exercise Scientist and an ESSA-accredited Sports Scientist. She has a range of industry experience in both performance analysis and sports science, having worked at the elite level in a range of sports. She has been involved in research and has published work relating to sleep in professional rugby league players.
