Part 2 of 2 for Using OnTask for personalised feedback and support in your subject
Are you teaching in a large subject? Do you find it challenging to support all your students with timely and personalised feedback? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you are invited to attend this workshop!
In this 2-part online workshop, you will learn about OnTask, an automated feedback software application that:
- Offers you a place to collate information about your students
- Enables you to create text conditions to personalise messages based on the information
- Sends these personalised emails to all your students.
Part Two of this workshop will be a hands-on session, taking you through the steps of setting up and creating conditions for sending personalised messages to your students.
OnTask is the outcome of an OLT-funded project and is backed by research. To date, impact studies are showing benefits for students, with regard to improvements in study habits and subject performance. Students have expressed greater feelings of belonging and valued the care shown by instructors in their personalised feedback and timely information about their performance in the subject.
This event is facilitated by the Connected Intelligence Centre (CIC).
Lisa-Angelique Lim is a postdoctoral research fellow with CIC, specialising in learning analytics feedback systems, in particular OnTask. Lisa recently completed her PhD at the University of South Australia, where she worked closely with university academics to design and evaluate OnTask feedback in their courses.
