Calling all UTS practitioners and researchers in Virtual Reality technology! The second gathering of the UTS VR Community of Practice will take place in the LX.lab on Thursday 15 February from 12:00 – 1:30pm.

We are looking for UTS academics, post grads and staff who are undertaking research in the application and use of virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality, and practitioners experimenting with the technology across a range of genres. The purpose of the group is to exchange knowledge, demonstrate emerging approaches to the technology and to share resources and ideas.

With the interest in this emerging technology increasing from inside and outside UTS as an educational, promotional and as an immersive visualisation tool, now is the time to share where our work is up to and understand how and where we can assist each other.

It is essential that you RSVP to Leah Lucas, Senior Project Officer, UTS Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creative Intelligence Unit (leah.lucas@uts.edu.au) by Monday 12 Feb so we can confirm numbers, space and equipment requirements. There will be a series of hands-on demos, lightning talks and the chance to network.

You are also welcome to bring along your lunch.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
