Calling all UTS practitioners and researchers in Virtual Reality technology! The first gathering of the UTS VR Community of Practice will take place in the LX.lab on Thursday 30 November from 12:00 – 1:00pm.

We are looking for UTS academics, post grads and staff who are undertaking research in the application and use of virtual reality, and practitioners experimenting with the technology across a range of genres. The purpose of the group is knowledge exchange and will meet on a quarterly basis.

With the interest in this emerging technology increasing from inside and outside UTS as an educational, promotional and an immersive visualisation tool, now is the time to share where our work is up to and understand how and where we can assist each other.

It is essential that you RSVP to Leah Lucas, Senior Project Officer, UTS Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creative Intelligence Unit (leah.lucas@uts.edu.au) by Monday 20 November so we can confirm numbers, space requirements and catering.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Stick around in the LX.lab afterwards for the first of a series of demos with VR, AR and gamification from The Institute for Sustainable Futures (ISF) starting with “VR unpacking climate impacts” (Booking essential).
