Continuing the Climate theme, in this workshop you’ll take a deeper dive into the individual and collective sustainable actions that can mitigate the effects of the climate crisis. With the help of UTS student facilitators from the Business Society, we will look at how sustainability for climate action is articulated in industry. How much is actual action and how much is simply greenwashing? Is corporate sustainability and governance possible? How can we prepare students for a new era of work where sustainability is a core requirement?
Who should attend this session?
All students, as well as academic and professional staff, are welcome to attend. No prior knowledge is required.
What will you learn?
This workshop is an opportunity to hear directly from students on the key issues of sustainability affecting our lives. It is part of a series of sessions on sustainability for climate action running in the LX.lab in 2022.
The purpose of this workshop is to demonstrate the relevance of Climate Action and Sustainability to student careers. Participants will also learn how to begin thinking about actions they can take individually and collectively
In this 1.5-hour session, you will gain experience of:
- the connection between teaching about sustainability and future graduate careers.
- tangible actions you can take to support sustainability.
- a meaningful co-design process for climate action.
