Mentimeter is a web-based tool that can be used to create interactive presentations and does not require the installation of any software.
Before you access Mentimeter to prepare an activity under the UTS license for internal or external use connected to your position within UTS, read the Terms of use and Privacy notice. You should also provide them to your audience before beginning a Mentimeter activity – find the ‘UTS User Documents’ slide in the shared templates accessible in your Mentimeter account.
Please confirm that your activity complies with UTS guidelines. Ensure that when using Mentimeter you:
- do not request personal information in the poll as they need to remain anonymous, and data is stored offshore
- do not phrase questions so that identity can inferred from responses of the audience
- do not use Mentimeter for graded summative assessment tasks
- do not use Mentimeter to conduct research as this tool is not approved for use for research purposes
- do not use Mentimeter to collect or share information for commonwealth funded research projects, or research projects that will be published – please contact the Research Systems Team to discuss the use of Qualtrics or contact your faculty to discuss other options for your research
