Marks transfer process setup
We’ve designed the marks transfer process to work with almost zero additional effort by the Subject Coordinator.
To enable marks transfer:
- Select the ‘Sync with LMS’ option during REVIEW Task setup
- Make the REVIEW task Active
REVIEW will then create a linked Canvas Assignment that:
- Has the same title as the REVIEW assignment plus the word REVIEW at the beginning – i.e. ‘Essay’ becomes ‘REVIEW Essay’
- Is worth 100 points and hidden from students
- Has the same instructions as the REVIEW Assessment
Making a REVIEW task inactive will delete the linked Canvas Assignment. Any submissions to this Assignment will be lost.
Transferring marks to Canvas
Publishing results in REVIEW will transfer any related marks to Canvas. Un-publishing results in REVIEW will likewise clear any related marks from Canvas.
You can check the progress of marks transfer on the Task’s Marking page. Marks will be in one of the following statuses:
- Pending – waiting to be sent to/cleared from Canvas
- Processing – being sent to/cleared from Canvas
- Transferred – successfully sent to/cleared from Canvas
Un-publishing marks uses the same the same status messages as Publishing.
