Level

Beginner.

Experience with Canvas pages, UTS Canvas page templates, and the Rich Content Editor would be beneficial.

Who should attend this session?

Teaching and professional staff who wish to learn how to modify or adapt existing Canvas page templates, or learn basic HTML to format and structure an online page in Canvas.

What will you learn?

HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is the code (or language) used to structure a web page and its content.  With some simple HTML basics, you can enhance your Canvas pages to provide clearer information and better signposting to students. You can also more easily modify UTS Canvas page templates to suit your subject’s needs.

In this 1 hour session, we will show you how to:

  • identify common HTML “tags” and “attributes”.
  • use the Canvas HTML editor to modify existing Canvas page templates.

BYO laptop is strongly recommended for this in-person session. This session will not be streamed online.
