Part 1 of 2 for Using OnTask on personalise feedback and support for your subject

Are you teaching a large subject? Do you find it challenging to support all your students with timely and personalised feedback? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are invited to attend this workshop!

We especially invite staff looking to implement OnTask in the upcoming teaching session so that you will have the necessary subject details to strategise OnTask feedback.

In this 2-part online workshop, you will learn about OnTask, an automated feedback software application that:

  • Offers you a place to collate information about your students
  • Enables you to create text conditions to personalise messages based on the information
  • Sends the email to all your students.

Part One of this workshop will introduce OnTask and demonstrate how it can be used to tailor communication to your students.

Part Two of this workshop will be a hands-on session, taking you through setting up and creating conditions for sending personalised messages to your students. Register for part 2 here:

Using OnTask to personalise feedback and support in your course: A hands-on session | 18 July

OnTask is the outcome of an OLT-funded project and is backed by research. To date, impact studies show benefits for students concerning improvements in study habits and subject performance. Students have expressed a greater feeling of belonging and support and valued the care shown by instructors in their personalised feedback, as well as the timely information about their progress and performance in the subject.

This event is facilitated by the Connected Intelligence Centre (CIC).

Dr Lisa-Angelique Lim is a Lecturer with the Connected Intelligence Centre, which is a part of the Teaching, Learning and Curriculum Unit in the Education Portfolio at UTS. With expertise in automated feedback systems and learning design, Lisa works closely with academics to design effective feedback using tools such as OnTask. Her research focuses on understanding human interactions with socio-technical systems, aiming to enhance the student learning experience through personalised feedback and support.
