Files is where you can store documents, images or any other files in Canvas. There are three types and areas of Files:
Course Files contains any files that are uploaded to your subject site. Each Canvas course has a storage quota of about 2GB. Files uploaded in this area will not count towards your personal file quota. If you’ve enabled Files in your Course Navigation Menu, your students can view all the files that are in this area.

You should not upload PDFs of journal articles and book chapters directly to Canvas. For copyright purposes, you should use the UTS Library Digital Resources Register (DRR).
