The Climate Fresk is a scientific, collaborative and creative workshop to learn about the climate in a playful way. This session will be led by student facilitators from the UTS Sustainability Alliance of Students And Staff (SASS) and the Fashion Ethics and Sustainability Society (FESS).

With rigour and pedagogy, the Climate Fresk makes it possible in a short time to understand the functioning of the climate system as well as the causes and consequences of its disruption. Participating in this workshop raises awareness of the complexity of climate change, gives an overview of this vast problem and provides keys to understanding in order to act effectively.

Who should attend this session?

All students, academic and professional staff are welcome to attend. No prior knowledge is required.

What will you learn?

This workshop is an opportunity to hear directly from students on the key issues of sustainability affecting our lives. It is part of a series of sessions running in the LX.lab as part of 2022 Global Sustainable Development Goals week (September 16-25).

In this 2 hour session, you will gain experience of:

  • the fundamental science behind climate change and how to be empowered to take action.
  • working collaboratively and creatively to understand a complex issue.
  • the Climate Fresk workshop and what steps you can take to become a facilitator for your students.
