Continuing the Climate theme in this final workshop, we attempt to co-design how each subject responds to climate change and sustainability needs. Students and staff will work together on materials that prepare them for sustainability in their careers.  We will explore the practical application of ideas to support you in embedding sustainability into your teaching. This workshop includes immediate student feedback on what we develop and an opportunity to build bridges between subject areas.

Who should attend this session?

All students, as well as academic and professional staff, are welcome to attend. No prior knowledge is required.

What will you learn?

This workshop is an opportunity to hear directly from students on the key issues of sustainability affecting our lives. It is part of a series of sessions on sustainability for climate action running in the LX.lab in 2022.

The purpose of this workshop is to design strategies for teaching about the climate crisis and sustainability. We will showcase some reusable subject materials developed by PGLD in collaboration with student facilitators.

In this 1.5-hour session, you will gain experience in:

  • co-designing materials with students for your teaching
  • practical approaches for teaching about sustainability in your subject area
  • reusable materials that you can embed into your subject in Canvas.
