Introducing the Content Layout Tool
The Content Layout Tool is a plugin for Blackboard created originally by an enterprising team at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Our Learning and Teaching Systems (LaTS) team have taken the tool and extended it to include many more options. It takes a little time to learn the ins and outs of the tool but it is well worth the effort.

The Content Layout Tool can create a stylish, streamlined look for your content and add subtle iconography, attractive table layouts, information panels, graphic elements and more.

Adding tiles and links
Default, quick tile sets
Do you like the idea of using a set of welcome tiles but can’t spare the time to organise assistance? LaTS have made welcome tiles super easy to use by adding default tile sets to the Content Layout Tool. Now you can quickly add four attractive tiles and drop them right where you want them. All you have to do is link the tile.
Advanced tile elements
You can add custom tile sets, choose from different hover effects and use your own images too! You can create sets of two, three or six pairs and even add flip-card effects!
