Bringing together the best in the business from universities around the nation, the Australian Awards for University Teaching are a very big deal. We’re proud to celebrate the achievements of our colleagues who were recognised for their teaching excellence at this week’s ceremony, each awarded a Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning.
A huge congratulations to the following academics:
Dr Amanda White, UTS Business School
Amanda lectures in accounting for UTS Business School, and won her citation “For developing and delivering an innovative curriculum and resources to make the study of auditing accessible and engaging for undergraduate accounting students”.
Dr Stephen Woodcock, Faculty of Science
Stephen lectures in mathematical science for the Faculty of Science, and won his citation “For development of curricula and resources to foster enquiry-oriented and research-inspired thinking in the applied mathematical sciences”.
Nursing and midwifery: Indigenous Professional Capability
Led by Joanne Gray, the nursing and midwifery team are already well know for their excellence in learning and teaching. They won a national citation “For developing Indigenous professional capabilities as every nursing and midwifery student’s business: innovating student learning through distributed leadership and active collaboration”.
Again, congratulations to all the UTS academics who were awarded – you’re an inspiration to us all!
