The “Oscars of Education” are now open for applications! If you are involved in enhancing learning outcomes and graduate employability, you can participate in The QS-Wharton Reimagine Education Awards.

Reimagine Education is organised by QS Quacquarelli Symonds (compilers of the QS World University Rankings) and The Wharton School. This initiative seeks to reward those organisations across the globe developing outstanding new approaches to teaching and learning – particularly those that can demonstrate the applied merits of their pedagogy.

There are 18 awards under the following 5 categories:

  • Future of learning – shines a light on the innovative approaches that are shaping the future of learning
  • Future of universities – recognises the transformation and evolution implemented to serve effectively current/future learners and provide future-proof qualifications
  • Future of work – captures effective ways to educate work-ready graduates, develop 21st century skills and foster lifelong learning
  • Sustainability education – awards projects and initiatives that educate learners about environmental and social sustainability
  • Values – awards projects and initiatives aimed at promoting values, ethics, purpose, diversity, access and inclusion

In 2015, UTS won the Hybrid Learning Innovation category for its learning.futures initiative.

A funding pool of $50,000 is available for this year’s overall winners, who will also receive global recognition for their pedagogical excellence at the Reimagine Education conference, running 5-8 December.
