It’s a wrap!
The LX.lab have been popping up in faculties and schools across the University in the months of February and March, and having lots of conversations about how we support learning and teaching. We popped up in school meetings, staff areas, classrooms and lunch rooms, anywhere we could visit with academics in the lead up to Autumn session.
We loved getting out and meeting so many people around the faculties, and would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome we received. Whether we saw you at the pop-ups, or if we missed each other, we’d love for you to come visit us at the LX.lab. We are your team to contact for:
- assistance with learning design and educational technologies
- learning and teaching events and blogs available on Futures
Why were we popping up?
Getting out into the faculties was a way for the LX.lab to get the word out about all the services and support the our staff provide for learning and teaching at UTS – after all, the LX in LX.lab does stand for Learner Experience! We hope you got to see us while we were out in your faculty, especially as our team has recently been growing and we have a few new faces for you to meet.
We also wanted to make sure that all learning and teaching staff at UTS know where they can go to get help and when. For example, at the LX.lab drop-ins (running 11am – 1pm Monday to Friday) we can answer questions ranging from the big (how can I look at ways to have a discussion in a large class?) to the little (my file is hidden from students in UTSOnline, help!).
We were also sharing helpful resources to find out more about the LX Transformation you may have already heard about, and our events schedule in the lead up to Autumn. There are some super interesting sessions coming up, like learning about chat bots, creating video submissions, play in entrepreneurship and virtual reality.
