UTS is committed to ethical technology and social justice, so we take seriously the responsibility to use analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) effectively and responsibly ourselves. We’re therefore inviting academics, casual tutors and students to form a team to propose the ethical principles that should govern the use of EdTech powered by analytics and AI.
A series of professionally facilitated online workshops will follow a ‘Deliberative Democracy’ methodology. This will promote a higher quality, more informed and reflective dialogue among a more diverse group than is possible in a one-off workshop.
No special knowledge or skills are required, other than to be ready to learn about the topic and the process, engage with the activities through careful deliberation, and work constructively to reach agreement.
Note that you’ll need to available for a series of five Thursday afternoon workshops over the next couple of months. Find out more about this project on the CIC website and to register your interest, fill out this form.
